I just watched your video on how to restart yeast with stuck fermentation. I hope I did it right! I saw the yeast mixture getting bigger and bigger so I poured it into my carboy hopefully that helps!
Should work fine
Prince,
I saw that you had reviewed the Fontana Barolo kit and I wanted to know how it compared to the Wine Experts vintners reserve nebbiolo, nebbiolo selection, and eclipse series. Perhaps you can tell me if I should just stick to the vintners reserve kit or go straight for the eclipse because its that much better.
Thanks!
Tony
Tony,
I think the Fontana Barolo Kit is Not as good as the eclipse kit, but better than the others you mentioned.. It is half the price of the Eclipse, but it is almost as good provided you age it…
I have one of these going right now!
I have been making out wine for 6 years. My reds are about 75% Eclipse (Lodi cab is our favorite) and other 25 % are Italian kits with grape skins. I made the some Barolo kits until not available. I loved them. I just now found the Fontana kits. Do you continue to agree with your opinion of 3 years ago on their Barolo kit quality.
Also, I generally wait over a year from starting to bottle and wait at least 2 years before starting to drink.
Thanks. Jimmy Dunn
Hi Jimmy,
I have not been able to get the Fontana kits anymore. if you can get them, I would. Can’t speak about the quality, as I have not been able to get them lately.
